How do I identify which is which? There is a narrow and a wide pipe on each side of the boom.

Thanks

Typically, on excavators, if the machine is activated for single acting circuit the pressure supply line will be on the left side of the boom and the return to tank is on the right side of the boom. And the return pipe is typically larger in diameter than the supply pipe.

Good day
Follow the lines one goes tank feed goes back to MCV, it helps if we know what machine you are posting.
Kind regards

Thanks, Willie. there are two size pipes with couplers on both sides of the boom.
