2007 JCB 214E 1000hrs. on the meter. been chasing an air leak (if tractor sits for a week you have to pump the fuel filter a couple of times at startup) tightening fittings one at a time and THOUGHT it was resolved. started it yesterday and it revved to approx. 1800 rpm (butt puckering moment) then settled down to idle. but all it will do is idle. won't answer accelerator or hand throttle. traced out cables to pump and they are free. injection pump lever moves shaft on pump but idle speed never changes. fuel filter is new. screen is clear in tank. fuel starved somehow? if it idles can I assume the fuel solenoid is working and it is getting fuel? what am i missing? pulling that pump is gonna suck......... any thoughts will be appreciated.
