Hi guys!
Quick question: in JD 444J is it normal to have really high blower RPM on 1 and not really big difference between 1-2-3-4?
Or there’s something fishy with blower and/or resistor?

Owner not liking that.

Sounds like something jumpered at switch, or contacts have fused in switch. Not sure if this unit changes the speed in the motor winding as some do.
Need Schematic to find out.

It does change the speed if you really listen to it. Owner thought it doesn’t at all. Just trying to find out whether it is all of them like that. Don’t know whether some aftermarket resistor was used, but parts manual shows a resistor ( it means motor is not PWM controlled), and JD “really proud” of those!:D

Evap. not plugged because complaint is that it gets too cold because blower running too fast.
