We have ordered a new 97-3, demoed a 331p it was a dog!! Hydraulic power was embarrassing compared to my 95-2.... they quoted me $166 plus tax (13%) for a 333p..... cat was about the same and bobcat too.... not to mention trade was 10k different, the -3 was $123k for my needs it just fine! I will surely welcome the new cab

The price difference between Kubota, and Cat, Deere,& BC in Canadian money is about $46K,
In US money about $34K.
So my 2 questions are,
1.Why?
2.And is there that much more value difference between?

I know many on here will think I'm crazy, but I passed on the 97-3 and bought a new(24') 97-2 instead. Price difference was only +-$6k. Realistically the only changes are the info screen(keyed start, radio, camera, etc.) and ease of Maintenace (the radiator pivots out 90 degrees).
As much as I like those items, I like the simplicity of less electronics more.
After owning our 2021 Covid era Bobcat T76 and having electronic problem after problem, I like our simpler(older) Takeuchi's better. Just get in, turn the key and run the machine.
Monitoring engine components is great, but too much monitoring is a real nuisance(imo).
One thing that I did notice about the 97-3 and forgot to ask about it, it has sensitivity adjustment for the hydraulics for the drive joystick(not sure about the loader joystick). So that tells me that they incorporated electronics somehow into the hydraulic controls, I don't like that.
I want full hydraulic over hydraulic controls for everything.
Another reason I went with the -2.
Besides having DEF, I think the 97-2 is one of the last "old school" feeling machines and I hope it lasts a long time because I hate the new electronic over hydraulics on all new CTL's.

Do you have a good location for a battery disconnect? Did you install one on your 95?
Not as worried about theft as I am with others running our equipment on jobs when we are not around.
