I Recently bought a 5800 link belt the serial number is lc612-470 it has a Izusa motor. seems to have had an electrical issue as throttle and stop engine control are done with some industrial type manual cables. As the dash area (display) is non functioning was wondering what would the function of the various switch being dead, ie travel speed, dig mode, what would be hydraulic system default too?

From the serial number I believe it is a 1992 model machine. The throttle motors were all junk on all the Link-Belts of that era. They were also very expensive and Link-Belt refused to change to something else. The common fix was to install marine control cables. The gauge set up was also really poor. The common fix for that was to install gauges for engine temp and oil pressure. It's a twenty four volt electric system so that took some digging to find gauges that would work.
Is yours a logger or an excavator?
