My Dad's Old Bobcat X225....What year is it?

Can anybody tell me the date of manufacture for my dad's 225? I can find online that it says they were made between 1987 and 1993, but he is arguing with me saying the dealer told him it was a 1998. I am sure that is wrong, I'm guessing the guy said 1988 and my dad misheard him.

Anyway, the serial number is 508312245

Thank you and I agree, but I was hoping to have the date narrowed down a bit.
