2 year ago we got a new kenworth 6 wheeler and the truck is to small so were looking into get a triable. the six wheeler will hold 10 tons with 36in side. the sale man a kenworth wanted me to build it with 48in side.
now he is telling me to build the triaxle with 54in sides and 60in tailgate. we want to be able to load with small machine, bobcats. and my thought are if the triaxle can only legally hold 20 tones and six can hold half that. then would a 17foot body with 42in sides be enough to hold 20 tones, or could i go to 36in sides. i am going to do a high lift tailgate do to stumps and larg rock.
on the six wheel we have a medium duty body that is all dented up. i want to get a heavy duty rock body i was wondering what your opinion on half round bodies vs square sided bodies.
thanks for your help
