NH Lw170 won't charge?

I have a 1800 hour Lw170 that won't charge the battery's. I think this Is the same machine as a case 621 or 721.

I put new battery's and a alternator on it. Cleaned up the starter, battery and alternator connections. Ran fine for one day. Then today it ran for about an hour and the electronics pulled down and died.

Any ideas or common grounds to clean?

Thanks

We had one of those. Bought it new. I think the guys in the shop had a party when they got rid of it. I know that if you didn't shut the master switch off every night, it would be dead in the morning, but you say yours quits while it's running. Is it showing any codes. Don't remember any charging issues with it, but it had the transmission pulled out of it twice, and actually tore the carrier bearing out of the frame once.

Test leads and more test leads, run them to the battery terminals to see what happens to the batteries when it's running. Charge them back up and start with a full charge. It wouldn't be the first alternator to die in an hour.

Thanks for the ideas. It was a bad ground under the bottom somewhere mechanic found it.

Bought it 2 years ago with around 1000 hours on it. Had a issue with a loose fuse and has rust on the can but its been pretty reliable for us

Having problems again. Ran fine Saturday after working on the one ground. Ran for an hour on Sunday then the power died again.

It pulls the battery's right down when you turn the key on or try to start it according to the mechanic.

Disconnect the alternator or look for other obvious grounds (shorts to ground, unintentional grounds). Remove fuses, breakers, relays until you find where the power is going. This assumes the battery is still good (didn't freeze while dead?) and charged up.
