Whatever it is maybe it pulls from the front where the drive sprockets are. It looks like it was assembled wrong :D

I think this view is from the front. Undercarriages are designed to travel with the sprockets in the back, so the drawbar woud logicly be on the other side.

I was on a pipeline job with a machine very similar to that once. The contractor used it mainly to pull a padding machine behind the sidebooms. Though it also saw duty as somewhat of a general purpose tow tractor.

When pipe was unloaded off flatbeds at a place accessible to on-road trucks, the pipe was loaded onto an all-terrain trailer that was pulled by the machine up into the passes or down into the canyons to where the pipe was actually going in the ground.

They had a few other miscellaneous towing chores for it, pulling welding supply trailers in the mud, pull out sidebooms when they got stuck, etc.

Right on! Actually the driller was talking about getting himself a Morooka to haul stuff around and pull the compressor. Save on dragging his pickup all over the mountain.:cool2

Like this one?

On tracks, with a screwcompressor, generator, dozer blade, handheld hammers, drilling rods, breakers, grinding tool, tool boxes and all.
Towing hook at the back, together with the winch.
Winch goes single to the front and the pulley at the back.

20 000$ 117 hours 1993 modell. Well maintained.(Army piece)

All the drilling tools are worth more than the total price...

Works fine for those small jobs.
But we(the users) don't want it anymore.....
