Here is some pics of our new pick up's.:)

Toyota Land Cruiser 2007, made in South Africa.
6 sylinder diesel engine without turbo....(only for army use, polluting to much)
Heavily modified for our use.:D
Diff locks both front and back, raised suspension+++
Winch can be bolted at the back too.
Haven't tested it out in the terrain, but it seems to be a good climber.

Have to remove the UN markings, we are not going to Sudan.
President Bashir demands only african forces.
And they are well equiped and real efficient,... not...

Nice! I'd liek to have one of those for an estimate/errands truck. Probably gets great gas mileage & looks like a really nice 4x4.

We got problems with the new D4D engine from Toyota.
They don't last long when u use Pakistani diesel fuel mixed with water and a lot of bad stuff.
So we went for the old inline 6 sylinder engine.:)
They are only prodused for the asian/african market.
We got the last ones prodused in the world, now they got the D4D engine.
Its fuel injection is so high tech.

It uses some fuel, got to little horsepower, and is a bit heavy. 4000 pounds empty.
But this is a tough car, can't be broken, and is justing going and going forever in Africa and Australia.:)

The HJ75/78 series was/is a very popular model downunder....has been Toyota's mainstay in farming and mining for years with the Troop carrier variant to boot. Aftermarket turbo systems for the 4.2 engine are very popular down here and are exported all over the world. That looks like 1Hz engine. Models here have gone to IFS front end and the V8 electronic diesel.

Aye the D4D can be trouble but the 3.0 TD Intercooled version is ok. A little noisey but sound. Funny Fuel Contamination light on the dash means trouble.

Bit funny how £42K+ Land-cruisers here and way different to the version pictured.

If you wanna know how good Toyota Pick-up's are (Proper Toyota's pick-up's) then you have to compair every other Pick-up to the Toyota.
