New to the forum side of things so bear with me please!
Anywho, I’ve got a Genie s-65 with a platform leveling problem. I’m a fairly green mechanic on this kind of equipment so placement and lingo of things don’t click to well with me just yet.
The leveler switch is working. The jib is functioning properly, booms in and out and goes up and down just fine. The only issue is the platform leveler won’t level the basket up or down. You can do it manually but it won’t do it on its own. I also have a s-45 doing the same thing.

I believe the operation of the self leveling cylinder is achieved through the use of a master cylinder which is typically a short cylinder located near the base of the boom and connected back to the column. This master cylinder will displace oil the to the levelling cylinder via counterbalance load holding valves. You may have an issue with the master cylinder and its connections or possibly the counterbalance valves. If you have serial numbers of the machines someone on this forum will most likely have information that they can give you to assist you with troubleshooting the fault.
