When we put it on our Slackline machine I have a system designed for that Carriage where we could basically North Bend with it also and that will be a huge help.

Impending photo bomb, have been on the road for about the last month. Have photos of just about anything and everything (not all Madill); we'll see how the campground WiFi handles trying to upload - might be pissing in the wind here.
If nothing comes through, standby.

Photos will be grouped in some sort of logical order.

Madill 044 at Lake Wenatchee. Couldn't find S/N anywhere - not sure where to locate plates on older machines. 1150 Cummins in it, seems a little neglected. Doesn't look like it is getting much use.

Also first 044 I've seen in the flesh. Its big, but after working under the 124, I was expecting more … (sounding like my ex there)

Larry Ramsey's yard in Chehalis WA. Over a dozen 009 on tracks and maybe 5 to 6 on rubber self propelled. Bunch of other neat stuff, mostly Washington and a little Skagit.

2250C buncher, wasn't super impressed with the cabs on these. Need to see a Series II to compare.
2250C buncher design, not sure if this has been posted up anywhere. Hadn't seen that logo design before.

800 loader is from Hermann Brothers in PA

Fresh rebuild on this 171 by Modern, just out of the shop. 60 Series repower, updated cab controls.
No 3800's at the shop but all the processors are still Madill, going to Cat 568 for shovel / loaders

Piles of life still in this 171, not so much on the 4800...
4800B s/n 4800B19 , had been completely rebuilt like the 171 above, hardly out of the shop and hydraulic line blew. Barely a scratch on the thing but she's crispy - not going to rebuild. Parts machine if anyone is looking.

3800C with 624 Waratah - Dahlgren has around 15 3800s I think, about 6-7 are processors (all 624) and rest are shovels

2250B with 624 parked up at the shop. Has been a problem child lately but is a juicer, operator said she out works the 3800s but has no reach obviously.

Definitely like the B series cab better than the C - better looking machine all around I think. Tried to buy one off the Island a year ago but sounds like I avoided some headaches.

Would have found a serial # welded on the top of the cross drive under that pile of gravel. I was probably the one that welded it on. Kind of sad to see all that machinery that we took so much pride to build not doing what it was born to do. Makes life seem a little wasted Thanks for posting so many pics. d.d.

No photos but....

Way back in this thread the 3850 prototype machines were briefly talked about: 2 built, sent to Jerry Debriae Logging in Cathlamet WA for testing, 1 burnt and other one sorta disappeared.

Dick Larsen / Double L Timber of Port Angeles WA has the mystery machine. It currently is running a Waratah on their shovel side banging out wood daily.
Talked to an operator who had ran it / had photos, but machine is basically identical to 3800 except larger pumps on it. Undercarriage is a little different too, has upper rollers I think. Hope to photograph it in the future.

And now that I almost have an entire page to myself … o_O:rolleyes: very grateful to discover these machines and meet such great people along the way! Checked a lot of machines off the list, like the 4800, now I just need to run one :D

View attachment 219685 Ramsey 2, favorite is the green Madill logo off a drum set. Other side was toast but this one was mint.
I made me some t-shirts with that logo couple of years ago. Maybe colour on original (photo from Ramsey) was distorted since it went out blue...
