I have an old 70ish Ford diesel 192 c.i. that is in a Vermeer trencher.

This engine is shot and I would like to find another engine that has the same bell housing thus allowing me to use the transmission.

I recall the numbers start at o, 1,2,3,4 etc. There is plenty of room to alter/fits another engine.
I may be barking up the wrong tree.

Another more simple means of solving the problems is what is another engine that will be comparable in size to the 192D?

Thanks,

Tom
