Saginaw Steering Cylinder---how to reseal?

Off a GMC General. Looks like you have to remove the weld to get it apart? Anyone worked on one of these. Same cylinder is on my 88 GMC 7000. I think they used on a lot of GM trucks. Thanks, LB

Get a Weller rebuild from a local dealer. Cheaper in the long run.

I think they are made that way because of a liability issue. only available as an exchange that I know of
