What's a good handheld scan tool for personal vehicles? Seems like an endless number of them out there. Not wanting to go into business, just my own use. Maybe something that gives more than code numbers, some graphing info, code clearing, key fob programing. Was watching videos on xtool, but not going to spend $700 for a hobby tool that doesn't involve wood working.

I use a smart phone application called torque + a cheap bluetooth OBD 2 scanner. The app can be transferable through any phones you may eventually upgrade to and the bluetooth adapter is cheap enough. Its about 30$ with a bit of setup, which is good enough for my uses. It wont program any fobs however.

If you want bidirectional it will cost $700 plus. For 150 or so get the brand Orielly's sells.
