Hi Blokes, I own the above mentioned machine and was recently perplexed as to why when travelling at hi range the machine would track to the left, I did some preliminary tests and found while jacking up the right track and going through all the travel motions, idle, mid revs, and hi revs and switching from low to high speed it worked fine in all modes.
However when jacking up the left track and doing the same test the high speed function would sometimes kick in and other times not, in any of the above mentioned modes. If I worked the travel lever from the forward operating position to reverse operating position and back again that would make it kick in.
What would be the first port of call when trying to track down this problem?
I would appreciate all your comments.
Thank you.
Regards:-
Patrick M.

Theoretically, techinically...guessing. The two speed solenoid supplies pilot pressure through the swivel joint to the travel motors to change their displacement. If one side works and the other side does not I'd be thinking the oil supply is leaking out in the swivel, pilot pump is worn, or the travel motor has problems

Thanks Mike, I'll check these items out although I have already rebuilt the Rotary Swivel joint so I have to look elsewhere, probably pressure testing supply at the track motors would show up where the problem is.
