Hello

I have a takeuchi tb180fr excavator. We recently purchased this excavator Everything on it works, only this interference prevention system does not work. The boom only reaches point M, the other two positions do not work. I checked the fuse and it's ok. The switches look fine. At least all the ones on the boom. Because when I mechanically manipulate them, the boom goes all the way. Probably an electrical fault. I also tried the procedure to reset the M position, but there is no effect. Could you please give me advice or some documentation about the system. Where are the relays for this system?

Welcome to the Forums lojz! Glad to have you.

I moved this thread over to the compact excavator thread in order for some of our mechanics with knowledge of Tak might take a look.

Best of luck!

Not sure on the TB180Fr, but on my TB153fr (Owners Manual is the same) when you start the engine, you turn the attachment interference switch all the way to the right and then all the way back to the left. Then the side arm will move all the way back to the side. Only worry if you have 3-4' wide bucket on. Also note, to move the arm to the side, the arm will need to be extended out a bit.

I have tried this procedure several times, but it does not help. There must be a problem elsewhere. I tested the stop boom offset switches today. But they don't seem to work. When I pressed both manually, the offset boom kept moving. Does anyone know how to get to relays? There should be four together below under the left command. One is for interference prevention system.

I still think it may be something more basic as I have sometimes struggled for a minute before it moves and works. I will check my machine later today to confirm. The boom must be in the right position forward to move to the side. Then the boom must be ALL the way completely to the right side or it won't retract back. Every time you turn off the machine you have to move the switch again all the way to the right and then all the way back to the left. Start at S, move switch all the way to m, then back to S. The side shift has to be all the way to the right or no go to retract.

You have to move the switch every time the key is turned on.
