RDG,

Never broke an ejector cable but I did snap a hoist cable when carrying too high.
When the nose of the tractor went over the hill I came to a sudden stop !!

We used to knock the wedges out and pull 5-6 feet off the drum at the end of shift usually on a friday.
When on tractor & scraper my usual 'ride' was a TD25 also - a series B or series C
