Because of the shortage of parts truck manufactures are not taking any orders for new trucks or trailers
And if they do take the order it's cut by 2/3. Utility in Utah is setting on 700 plus trailers unfinished.
This is how wacky the prices are for used. We have two 3 axle Cascadia models 2019's with 410,000
on them. Paid $154,000 for them, Both went on the chopping block and sold today for $167,000.
Our Kenworth T990's 2021's just went into service middle of last month roughly 10,000 miles on them.
Company paid $188,000 for each, could easily sell today for $230,000 {no chit}.
Refer trailers 3 axle 53' were year and a half ago $80,000 now $107,000. A 53' 3 axle 7 years old worn out,
$55,000. Used 53' 2 axle worn out $55 to 65,000.
Freight rates are through the roof so these guys are paying stupid prices for used, The rates will fall and they
will be making a payments of new on a old tired rig.
