Have one Weiler P385B in the fleet that is giving me more grey hairs. At first start up of the day sometimes will randmoly throm the code spn 639 fmi 9 by time i get to the paving crew its already off. They just shut the machine off and restart it. I feel as if this will not be the fix for this code sometime soon. I checked basic stuff such as battery, alternator and ground. Cat cant seem to find any issues with it either. Any help would be great.

Sounds like a module taking longer then normal to wake up. Does it have grade & slope, remotes or any of that stuff? These codes can log when a new module (eg, sonic sensors, remotes, etc) is introduced or removed from the network with key on/machine running. Does anything stop working when it's active?

Can't find any service info on these tbh.

It would just idle down. Out of curiosity i just unplugged the cat product link and it hasn't came on since. So thinking something with that controller wasn't waking up as it should have been. Its loaded up with all grade n slope stuff. None of that has been replaced or removed in over a year and never had a problem until about a month ago but like i said since i unhooked the product link havent heard anything from the paving crew since
