I was going through some old picts and thought some of the guys from the midwest might remember the winter of 78-79. Grampa had 3 old Allis's running 24 hours a day for 3 weeks trying to get all of the roads opened.

Not sure if it was that year or not, but recall a county guy being let go
for crossing a wood plank bridge that was about 60 ft long with a D7.
Seems like it was a 5 ton load limit.
I was just out of school and moved to the big city of Wichita, Ks that year.
The first dozer our family had was the D6C I bought in 80.
