Hello,
I have a Woods 7500 backhoe that is extremely jumpy when operating the lower boom. Acts the same raising, or lowering. Everything else operates smoothly. The linkage seems adjusted properly. Anyone have any ideas as to why only this one function would have this issue. Could it be a load check valve, or pressure relief on that spool? Could it be something with that particular spool? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It could be the valve. I had to add an anti-chatter damper on my skid steer lift valve but don't know if one is available for your valve.
