That's a great looking rig right there with your dad. My dad is my best friend so I know where you are coming from, wouldn't trade him for anything:thumbsup Seems like your whole family has something to do with construction.

Moving cubes with a backhoe with forks would suck big time. Talk about working blindfolded. I am down by Sun City was riding my motorcycle yesterday. Enjoying the great weather, if I would of been around I sure would of been your ground man for a while. I sure enjoy watching those big B E draglines digging out phosphate that are around here.

I know what you mean every time i go to the qaurry i see every from the big haul trucks to train cars being loaded the drag line pulling tons of material at a time but yea i get the call to dig the footers and the cube of block where in the way, who ever bright idea it was to put 10 cubes in the middle of where the house was going needs to slapped back handed pimp style

I feel your pain on both issues.

No telling how many concrete blocks I loaded as youngster onto pallets and then moved with a skid that were leftover in new basements. The forks we had for the skid were normal forks, needed the 4 skinny tined type to move the cubes - never delivered on pallets. Then there was the footing dirt inside the basement to deal with as well. My task was to prep the basement slab for concrete.

Have a 420DIT with forks, great for moving pre-cast boxes and pipe but sucks terribly trying to unload pallets from a truck as you can't see the tines from the seat.
