Those Toyota turbo sixes were/are a good motor but not that good.
They seem to have developed a cult following.

Not unusual for over 14k+ total hours. Anywhere with a warm climate a dozer will sit for hours acting as an (*insert number applicable to dozer model) HP air conditioner. 20% of total machine hours would not be unusual.Does the machine have over 3000 idle hours on it as per the ad?
The base car might have cost $50k but was was solld wasn't exactly standard was it.? I have no idea but I wonder how much that sound system cost, and all the suspension, etc, mods.?a car that would have cost about $50 000 brand new in 2006 sold for $74 000 https://www.tvaa.com.au/auctions/13595/lot/17185-2006-Toyota-Landcruiser-RV-HDJ79R-Utility
Yeah getting off topic, but I bought one new in 2002, first new car. Paid $62k and back then ac was an option. Still got it and was told that they are selling in good nick in the 70's.
So use it for 20 yrs and then sell it for 10k more than you paid for it, not a bad deal at all.
There is just lots of money out there in the bush at the moment. Hell I just sold 40 plain old Jap ox steers and got $2900 each.
