"Next" rig I get will need at the least have air bags on back axles (some on front is even better), I'm taking one of the tandem axles off if it doesn't come that way. Will need a locker installed or option to have locker installed. Less than million miles on the odometer (closer to 750k ideal), at least 400 hp/ 1600 ft lbs tq. The shorter the frame the better, needs a sleeper bigger than a WIA 64, mid roof at most in height, OD transmission with less than 15 gears (I'm not rowing a boat). Needs to be able to do 75 mph comfortably so somewhere around 4:xx rear axle ratio, lastly no emission system BS.

My repair methods aren't even good enough for Youtube.

We've been dealing with charging issues/ canbus on my wonder of german engineering crane. Every time I suggest just running wires around, jumping things, I get a great eyeroll and tongue lashing from my young mechanic how "its can bus and you can't do things like that"...
I’ve done a fair amount of reading and “training” if you will. Also have a really good 4 channel scope if it comes to that. My travel rates are reasonable haha

This sold for $16,000 at a farm auction early this summer. Later became buddies with the guy who bought it and when his plans changed he sold it to me for the same $16,000. 2005 378, C15, 13 spd , 40k rears. Very light weight truck. We cleaned it up and a bunch of friends gave/sold me used things and we had her on the road by August. Ran it almost 400 hours pulling bellydump, grossed about $50,000 in a few months. I do wonder though how much I could get for it now?

So what is the deal with that? Is that an older A model, or a T800 with the high hood?

And the Deutz . . . is that a US truck? Appears to be a US plate? When were they putting Deutz engines in trucks? The cooling system has got to be interesting . . .

There was a log trucker in Washington that ran Deutz in KW log trucks in the '70's i think . Amboy Trucking, I believe. Maybe this truck is one of those?
Correct JaredV. That KW is a basic 500 with a fiberglass hood-year 1972--It's listed in Mossy Rock.

One has to remember-you could almost buy anything you wanted years ago in a USA built
PacCar product, if you wanted a Briggs they would install it. The options are gone for drivetrain
it's all about creature comfort nowdays.
