Yes. Pedal is hard with engine off. Yes I lubed pivots. It's the booster, when I unhook the vacuum line with engine running, the pedal returns to the top. When I hook hose back up, it pulls the pedal down

Hmom, I thought if the booster is bad the pedal is just harder to push. But since the pedal returns when engine is off, you may just be right.

I would assume there would be two bleeders. I can only find one. Is there two? Brake pedal will not return when engine is running. If engine is off, it will. Thinking master cylinder is bad?

    Back to the jcb 506b

Finally got it solved. The rectifier in the alternator was bad. And a plug on the dash was dirty. Both the tach and hour meter work normal again

    Back to the jcb 506b

Ok so the tach does work off the alternator. Perfect. That helps. I followed the wire from the hour meter, it actually goes back to the alternator. Where it plugs into the alternator, I would guess that terminal is only supposed to have power when the alternator is spinning. Well, this has...

    Back to the jcb 506b

Making progress. But ran into more problems. The tach isn't working. It was before I started this project. The only electrical things I touched was removing the starter and alternator. How does this thing read rpm? 2nd problem is, the hour meter keeps counting hours with the key off. Thinking...

    JCB 506B

My problem was, the suction hose from the hyd reservoir to the pump was loose, pump was sucking air, now my pump is shot. I've been too busy to get a replacement pump, so it's still sitting in the corner of the shop. If you have no oil at fan motor, your pump is probably bad too. But check...

    JCB 506B

Had the machine running today. There must be something wrong with the pump. Cooling fan hardly turning, I cracked the line going to the fan, barely any pressure

    JCB 506B

I'm afraid of that, we'll know in a couple days. The main pump that bolts to the crank pulley had to be replaced, fitting was over tightened and it cracked the housing. That pump should be here in a couple days.

You're a genius, I never even gave that a thought. The line was very loose on the pipe coming out of the hyd reservoir. I need to replace the little o ring as it's chewed up a bit. And hopefully that takes care of the problem

According to the book, I think you're right on the fan turning all the time. I don't see anything about wiring or sensors to turn the fan on. According to this picture, pump 3 sends oil to 41(cooling fan motor) About all I can think is, once this thing is running, check and see if oil is...

There are no fuses or wiring for the fan motor

    JCB 506B

Maybe it should be turning all the time, I have no idea I just got the machine. I will crack the lines at fan motor and see if there is any oil flow. Manual didn't say anything about the fan, but I will look again, maybe I missed something. Yes, steering works as it should. I will trace the...

Working on a JCB 50B telehandler The hydraulic motor that turns the engine cooling fan won't kick on. There must be a temperature switch some where that turns it on??
