    CAT 316 EL

Our mechanic is down south working on our other equipment and our CAT 316 has been detuned to the point if it’s showing half power. Everything works as it should and no issues leading up to it but it is showing all the service‘s are in the red. It’s been serviced but we can’t access the system...

    Service manager help

Your way overthinking it, I was a service manager for many years and just act normal and treat everyone like family and the rest will work itself out. Don’t sugar coat anything, be honest and up front but compassionate towards the situation and don’t start drinking the first day LOL

    Grease Shortage

Can someone educate me on why we now have a grease shortage? I’m caught with my pants down on this one, I had 10 cases of Lucas Xtra Heavy duty grease on hand and I’m running low now only to find it’s no longer available. If anyone has a clue where some might be hiding out I’d appreciate some...

MTL Attachments- not a good experience...

From someone that lives and dies by thr equipment you get what you pay for. I run Vail X Series and they are around $14k and they just keep going and going, Ive tried the cheap crap and they will run a while and something brakes every time, usually when you need them the most. If you can live...

    Dougherty Forestry Manufacturing Tree Saws

I have a buncher but you can’t use them on 25’ diameter cedar trees without ramming the machine into limbs tearing stuff up, trust me we’ve tried and a tree saw can trim limbs before cutting them off and we then use a second machine with a tree grapple to drag them to an open field. I was simply...

Either way good luck on your future buddy, if you were closer I’d put you In something to learn on as well. I’d rather have a eager newbie that wanted to learn than a half dozen old lazy burnt out has beens….

I have one if thr tree saws but just not the dual boom so I was curious how it worked but I understand your point. All we use them for are cedars but these newer ones supposedly have blades and teeth made for the dirt but I’m not willing to gamble 20k without knowing for sure it will work lol I...

    Anyone Have Tinted Windows?

As far as the AC working better with them being tinted, the AC in these worked great before and thr was never an issue with the cab getting hot inside but now I have to run the blower on the lowest setting and the temperature control about halfway from cold to hot, otherwise it will absolutely...

    Anyone Have Tinted Windows?

He just tinted them and the locks go against the film, I don’t open the windows very much but it’s not caused any issues and the film still looks perfect where the locks ride. Even if it scratched the film where they ride it’s not a big deal as far as I’m concerned.

    CAT 309

My problem is damage to the curbs, concrete, asphalt and them sinking due to the weight as well as their overall size. We’ve been using mats, fire hoses and everything in between but I’m really wanting to find a better suited machine that doesn’t require so much work to get the job done...
