    Takeuchi TL130 flashing battery light

    Just took possession of a 2017 TL8 with the same symptoms. Battery was dead fully. Jumped it with some starter fluid but it took a good hour to get enough juice. Blinking oil lamp and battery indicator prior to starting. No hour meter either.

    Fixed!! I owe you a beer, ThePumpGuySC!!! Getting this assembly apart was slow, and in a tight spot. Everything was very, very corroded. If you had not warned me about marking the post and linkage before, I would have been in a pickle!! Getting the spring back on was the biggest headache...

    Fantastic input, thank you. I'll definitely make an alignment mark. So the top linkage is just pressed down onto the splines on the shaft? I"m still unsure how that whole thing is assembled.

    My 2004 has been running well on the whole, with a periodic sticky throttle. Pulling the pedal back typically solved it but a few times I'd have to open the engine panel and pull the linkage back to idle. I made a mental note to tackle that later... but like so much of life, repairing one small...

    Closing out the saga. Did everything I could to rule out the pump. But it was the pump. Messicks could not find one, anywhere. On a whim, my sales guy called NH Europe. They found a pump in Australia! NH North America only charged me overnight shipping from Messicks to me in TN. Incredible...

    No sir, no screen and no access plate on the side. The top cap is mounted on a bolt down access plate however. and to your point, no suction screen shows on the drawing. I played proctologist to both suction and return lines and they were clear.
