Case 580c Loader lift cylinder sizes

If I could get the 3" rod cyl at a reasonable price I would do it. If you are not lifting heavy, probably wouldn't make any diff.

Case 580C suggestions to get pins out of steering column

Glad you can report "leak free" after all that. I never had a problem pushing those pins out and I've done it a few times............but those pins would have 50 more years on 'em now.

Case 450C Blade Control Spool Valves Weeping

Looks like you are keeping it clean where the spools are exposed. Dirt and oil make a grinding compound and will damage the exposed part of the spool as it moves in & out.

Pretty sure pilot pressure is what's used to release the brakes. 250 ish P.S.I. should do.

    Case 580 Super E Brakes

You can replace the seal with the housing bolted back on the machine. It helps if you have the tool that covers the splines. I have used shin stock wrapped around the splines in a pinch. I would look on Ebay for a service manual.

I bet you need to replace the o-rings on the load check valves in the backhoe control valve.

    Where to get Brake parts

You could manual adjust each brake and then put a lock nut on the top of the toothed gear. I never thought the auto adjusters worked very well as the aged.

480c slave cylinder advice. Remove floor or go from under?

The brakes on those were not the best to begin with, but it is what it is. Be sure that park brake is releasing all the way.

480c slave cylinder advice. Remove floor or go from under?

I have done it both ways. I thought it was faster from underneath, so I did it that way almost always. Now that I'm in the "golden years" I would probably pull the floorplate. Penetrating oil is your friend on those floorplate bolts sticking through those fender nuts.

    case 1150 suspension welding??

The torsion bar-lever thing was just not a good idea. If you look on the inside top of the track frames you can see where the stop on the main frame rest on it when the dozer is in the "nosedive position". Weld a block of equal size on each track frame right where you see the worn spot from the...
