My name is Doug and i have a problem.

Hi, my name is Judd, and I too, have a problem. I start to think that I am getting better and then the Snap-On man shows up, and I fall off the wagon again. Like others have said you can't have too many tools. I keep a ton of Chinese wrenches around so that I can heat, bend, and cut them into...

Design Flaws: What would you do better?

No truer words have ever been spoken. I despise anything that says Bobcat on it.

Had to share this with everyone

I have had windshield washer fluid put in the powersteering resorvoir on two different trucks here at work. Both of them were 6.4 liter fords. Flush everything thoroughly and refill, but both needed power steering pumps shortly thereafter. You have to love "imported laborers".

    More Wabco questions

I've got this 666B back together from replacing the clutch now I am trying to get the brakes working. I need to know what fluid to put in the brakes and the hydraulic cluch master cylinders. I have seen some things say brake fluid and some things say hydraulic oil. Does any one know for sure?

questions about a wabco 666 clutch

Yes, I have made progress. I went ahead and pulled it all apart. The clutch discs had next to nothing for lining left on them. I had the discs relined and have cleaned everything up, now I'm putting everything back together. Thanks for the offer of posting the breakdown pictures but I don't...

    D3B problem

It's been awhile so I thought I would update this thread for anyone else who might run across this problem. Turns out the stop on the release bearing arm was out of adjustment. The clutch could never fully disengage, thats why it was always hard to steer to the right, it had to slip the...

questions about a wabco 666 clutch

After looking closer I am going to say that this machine is a 666B. The model number is 666BGMxxxxx. The main hydraulic pumps are on the front of the transmission under the cab. There is a small pump mounted to the clutch housing. It sucks oil from the transmission housing through a cooler...

questions about a wabco 666 clutch

I'll have to check for the tag under the seat, I've never been in there. What I adjusted was the rod on the slave cylinder that you get to through the opening under the fuel tank on the left side of the machine. I have already taken it apart far enough to access the panel on top of the clutch...

The things we do for kids

Just another entry on the long, long, long list of uses for a service truck crane. I've never picked up a play fort but I have picked up a 10x20 deck from the front of trailer house and sat it on a flatbed trailer to move to another trailer house.

questions about a wabco 666 clutch

I'm getting ready to work on a wabco 666 for a customer. The clutch slips in the higher gears, I adjusted the linkage about a year ago and it worked good for quite some time. Now it is slipping again. I have learned that it is an oil clutch and was wondering exactly how it works. I've never...

    some work pictures

Wow, just looked thru the whole thread. I work out of a service truck on trenchers, backhoes, bucket trucks, and digger derricks for a company here in OKC. The epuipment you work on and the quality of workmanship you put out makes me feel rather inadequate ( hope I spelled that right). Oh...

    D3B problem

No, I did not run it with the valve unhooked. Since then I have thought about doing that, or switching the valves from side to side. I figured the clutches were applied by springs and released by hydraulic pressure but i wasn't sure, so thats good to know. I just could not think of what could...

    D3B problem

I'm working on a D3B for a guy. The machine was working fine then it sit for about 2 months. When it was started again the right track is not receiving any power. The track rolls freely and the brake works. The dozer moves forwards and backwards on level ground, when you barely step on the...
