    case 580c Master cylinder failures

I have some jeep cylinders I can make work but trying to avoid changing them every few years. The moisture is the main issue. With a cap that does not allow air to enter ie rubber diaphragm or bellows I think the problem would go away. If you notice all autos now use that system. No air gets in...

    case 580c Master cylinder failures

It seems like every 2 years I have to replace the brake cylinders on this backhoe. I believe the problem is in the cap venting system. At night when it gets cool the pressure in the cylinder reservoir drops and air and humidity are drawn in. During the day it is expelled leaving moisture in the...

Nissan 50 gasoline forklift sluggish to move all of a sudden

Found water pump on Amazon. Forklift actually started moving on it`s own. Not sure what happened there. It would be nice if i could find a workshop manual on it though.

Nissan 50 gasoline forklift sluggish to move all of a sudden

My forklift decided it did not want to move this morning. It has plenty of hydraulic fluid. Mast moved fine. I do not have a manual on this unit. Can the hydraulic filter cause this? a few days ago the shift linkage fell off. I fixed that and it was fine afterwords. I noticed the water pump...

Atlas copco xas185jd7 does not run at a steady speed

So thanks to the admin He was right! I do have leaks at 2 fittings. When I did the restore on the compressor I had some damaged control hose fittings and so I cut these off and used 1\4" compression ferrules. They both leaked. Some research says these are not .25 in but 6mm. The original...

Atlas copco xas185jd7 does not run at a steady speed

This compressor speeds up and slows down constantly when above idle. Does not run at a happy speed. This was a unit I restored and best I remember it was not doing that before. I have 2 identical units. The one is fine but not this one. I have swapped the regulator that sits on top of the oil...

    Case 580c loader lifting ability

I read somewhere that someone has experimented with forks on a 580C and could not lift more that 2000lbs. Yes I can unload some of the sand and I may have to do that. 100 lb bags take a toll on my 64 year old back though.

    Case 580c loader lifting ability

I am wanting a way to unload or move pallets with 3000 lbs of blasting sand on them. I know I can install the forklift forks on the front of the bucket but that will not lift 3000lbs. I was thinking about building 2 skids I can slide under the pallet and hook a chain with a spreader between them...

    580c trenching bucket question

I am rebuilding a badly abused 12" trenching bucket. It was used as a battering ram I believe and it has a slopped out bushing that I have to repair with my line boring equipment. This bucket has no teeth on it and I am wondering if I need to weld some on. The soil here is hard black dirt.

    case 580c swing tower

It`s cast iron. I line bored mine and made oversized bushing for cylinders.

    580c bucket rebuild question

My bucket is rusted out in many places. I need to replace the sides and part of the curved portion. Do I need to use a 7018 or can I just use my mig to weld the new metal in?

Best Place to Buy Hydraulic Hoses?

I order my hose in bulk and fittings from wbc industrial. They carry gates. About half price what they sell them for at Napa. My 580c has mostly jic fittings but the swing cylinders have o-ring boss where they attach to the swing cylinders. The local shop crimps the hoses for free.

case 580c hydraulic filter pressure switch psi rating?

Does anyone know what pressure this switch closes? Mine is leaking and I am thinking about getting just a generic one.

    Case 580C

Ok I called them and they need part numbers. What I did was get the part numbers from the case parts book online and gave Transtar the part numbers. Prices are better than Nueces Power in Victoria. I have a paper manual for this tractor that shows how to rebuild the unit if you want to use it.

    Case 580C

Transtar:(800) 289-1457 . Since your forward gear is out it`s possible the splines are stripped on the clutches. When I rebuilt mine the splines were just about gone. This comes from slamming f to r with full power on the throttle.

case 580c leak around the torque converter area.

I think I solved the problem. I believe the leak was around the pump bolts. I put permatex no.2 on the bolt heads and now leak is gone. I did pressure up the torque converter just to be sure but no leak there.
