Where is the "Sticky Note" section for this forum??

....you aren't getting paid for being admin so you don't really have much incentive to make things better for the members and would rather this forum remain the way it is. A general forum where members can't efficiently search for the answers they need and in turn post the same questions and...

Where is the "Sticky Note" section for this forum??

Thanks for the .02cents. So, what I am getting is that you aren't getting paid for being admin so you don't really have much incentive to make things better for the members and would rather this forum remain the way it is. A general forum where members can't efficiently search for the answers...

Where is the "Sticky Note" section for this forum??

digger242j- thanks for the reply. Best thing I can do is offer you a great example: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/ That forum has been around for a long time with a lot of "Active" members and is pretty dialed in now. If you click on any Sub Forum you will find a "Sticky Note(Information...

Where is the "Sticky Note" section for this forum??

Right on caseau! Surprised there isn't more support for this. Over 200 views and no one else has bothered to post. Probably too busy searching and searching for the basic info that we are refering to! :Banghead

Case 580K Won't Move Forward or Reverse

Wow, are the K's that much different then the E's? According to the manual for Super E's the shuttle transmission fluid is to be checked : AT OPERATING TEMPERATURE , WHILE RUNNING at IDLE IN 4TH GEAR and Shuttle in Neutral Position(Obviously). And my dipstick is in the engine bay, no where...

    580e breaks

Oh man...The B17778 IS fairly thin for tractor gear oil in my opinion. I believe you are correct that CNH stands for "CASE NEW HOLLAND" but the weight/viscosity is 80w-140. So a little thinner than you thought. Written right there on the front of the 5 gallon bucket. And yes it is...

    Cheap Test Gauge

Thanks zizou10, yeah I agree they appear to be these AG fittings. Just wasn't positive they would work because they use a "ball" instead of a "needle" valve. But if you are using them and they work then that answers that. And 1/2" right? Sorry excavator, I guess you can't/didn't see my...

    Cheap Test Gauge

Looking for an AFFORDABLE gauge to test my Hydraulics PSI. See 0-5000psi gauges online for about $20 but need to know what size that quick connect is on the bottom of my Parker 3 spool Valve assembly so I can get the right female fitting. I know someone out there must have made their own gauge...

    580e breaks

Bowen... man you really got me worked up there for a second. Was about to go to the dealer and rip him a new one but decided to double check your info first. And glad I did as it saved me a bit of shame. You are correct that there is a lot of "Discussion" going on about this topic and that is...

    580e breaks

bowen...not sure if your post was even directed at me but I wish you would clarify with some #'s. I have a 1986 Case 580 Super E and she definitely has wet brakes for sure. I just double checked the manual...it calls for same fluid for all 580 Super E models- Case Gear Lubricant-B17632...

Where is the "Sticky Note" section for this forum??

Maybe there is already a page and I missed it but it seems most forums have a section that contain information that is most commonly sought. For example there needs to be a page that we can post all cross reference #'s to. That would save people a lot of time and $$. I know there are a lot of...

    580E Fan Belt

Just found this info and figured I would post it for all Super E's. The Case Fan Belt Part#J911559 measures 28mm wide x 1574.8mm long 8 ribs and the Gates cross reference is #K080620 or K080620HD (best go for the HD if you can as it is a bitch to change).:usa

    580e breaks

I know this is an old thread but this is good info for any newbies. The 580e manual calls for Case Fluid #B17632, but when I went to the dealer they said it was discontinued and the replacement is CNH brand #B17778 and the bucket says it is 80w-140. Also has the words Akcela and Ambra on it...

    I Lost My Power!

Thanks for the help guys. I first took off the cover to the loader valve assembly and located the Main relief valve. I didn't remove it, I just tapped on it with my wrench a little. Then went to rear of machine and checked the quick couplers, they were all tight and no leaks. Then removed...

    JD 310SE will not start

I am kinda new to TLB's and know nothing of your model of deere, but I did notice no one has asked the obvious question yet. Did you purge the air out of your injection pump after you replaced the fuel filter? Just cause you primed the low pressure side doesn't mean there is no air in the high...

    I Lost My Power!

No she didn't hide the remote. Finally after all the cleaning, lubing and all...I have been using the 580e to clear some old logging trails for the last few days. She has been impressive and running pretty good 'cept for the leaky fp at the throttle linkage and thought I would have a bit...
