I just picked up a CAT D6C that has a c-frame style blade with no hydraulic tilt. the machine used to have a different blade with the hydraulic tilt cylinder. the hydraulic ports on my machine are currently capped.
questions:
1. can you mount a single hydraulic cylinder on this style blade or does it require dual tilt cylinders? see photos for examples of this style blade with dual tilt cylinders.
2. i cant seem to locate and old takeoffs to use. where can i find one or two of these?
3. can i source any ole cylinder for this application? large cylinder with the correct dimensions of shaft movement and body length? that ball mount at the blade end make be hard to replicate.
