wow, and I thought my rock situation was a problem! You know, there's a really big - Hitachi EX 400 LC-3 - I think these things are some 95klb or so. Getting it there would be the issue. It's got 15k hours, but my understanding is that the big ones like this tend to run for much longer than then little one. Apparently not much resale value in these...

I will keep on about progressive thumbs, in light of your rock supply. The only thing that sets rocks better is a clam with swivel. that is all smaller stuff and hand stacked, it was just for reference. That big field of 1 and 2 man rocks he has will make magnificent walls.I'd guess some of those rocks are hand placed but that's a very impressive retaining wall.
Not granite but I can’t recall what they called it. It’s not shale, it’s very hard durable stuff mostly a reddish color. This wall is made from it.
