Questions on 1966 FORD 5500 Backhoe Torque converter

Looks like I have the bolt together style torque converter which after talking to Joesph Industries said they could not rebuild...So what I would like to know if I could put another style torque converter in to replace it....I know they also had a welded one out there for that year that had a different stall speed.....Anyone have some ideas on how to sort out this torque converter issues...Cheers Benny
