You got a nice variety there SteveI'll be interested in the 990 when you get into it.Thats a weird looking bearing. How much of the frame are you doing?
I've got a spell from boring. I'm selling farm machinery at a field day this week and on the lathe next week doing hook up bosses for a new EX1900 bucket.
Ray as far as i know now the bucket pivots but its in thier shop being cleaned up and then were going to get a good look at it. Its nascar race week at bristol and im near the track im going to stay at home in my shop and avoid the mess. Have you got to get much time in on that nice new mill?.
The mill hasn't been turned on for a week. The 1900 bosses and caps I'm doing have 8 hole bolt circles. So it will be doing a lot of drilling and tapping next week.
Let us know the sizes of that 990. Always handy to know. We can share information
Currently working on a lull 644b brakes and frame tilt. Anyone with good parts connections on the east coast for lull. Case 580 in background needs brake's and hyd cylinders packed.
Thanks Tom and Ray i wanted to try something and drove the bar with a variable speed mag drill and liked it. I didnt have to install the bushings but i was wondering the od was 6.507 what would liquid nitrogen bring the size to. I have always just put them in my freezer but wanting to try the nitrogen when i get a chance thanks again Steve
Thanks Ray i checked today and my welding supply said 25.00 for 5 liters and they would let me borrow a container for a few days if i wanted. How long does it take to shrink lets say a six inch bearing?
