Hello Everyone,
I really enjoy reading the posts on this forum, there is a lot of knowledge posted here. I am glad I found this site.

I have been around the heavy equipment business w/ dealers for over 30 years. I started as a mechanic, then equipment sales, used equipment, and now inspections/ appraisals.

My main hobby is my 07 Electraglide, followed by trap shooting/ target shooting.

Thanks for putting this forum together.

Sorry for the questions but I think this site is very interesting and probably has more knowledge than most mechanics shops. This is a great idea for who ever started it glad I stumbled on to it.

Hello everyone, pleasure to be a part of this site! I am a senior in high school in Milwaukee, WI and ive played around with scale models and tonka trucks all of my life (obviously not at this age now). I have always wanted to operate/fix/be around any sort of heavy equipment and i am planning on going to Michigan Technological University next year to study in Mechanical Engineering. Some day i hope to be designing the machines that move this Earth's dirt. My favorite type of heavy equipment are wheel loaders- two specific favorite types are the Michigan 75A and the Cat 966C. For some reason i really like 1970's & 1980's vintage machines, theres something to be said about the older iron that i like. But even still i really like all of the new technology being developed in earthmoving as well. I dont know if anyone has ever heard of Dozer Days held in Sussex, WI but it was always one of my highlights each year to go to. Unfortunately living on a 1/9th of an acre lot, i dont get the opportunity to mess around with the big stuff much so i do a lot of work on small engines. Ive modded my 1972 ariens 5 hp 22" snowblower to fit a 14 hp Tecumseh OHV engine. I do a lot of work like that which also includes messing around with lawn tractors and mini bikes. I also work for the local Ace hardware fixing up lawn mowers and snowblowers. But my real passion- what i really want to get into- is the big heavy equipment. If i wasnt going to become an engineer on heavy equipment i would definitely want to become a heavy equipment operator or mechanic. But the way i see it, is that i have been presented the opportunity to go to college and i should take advantage of it and become an engineer who makes more money (in most cases). Hopefully you will see me around the site on the Wheel Loader and Forestry forums a lot because i really want to learn all about the heavy equipment associated with them. Thanks for letting me be a part of this forum!

Hello

Hello everyone. My Name is Sultan Q Khan and I'm from East Gary, Ontario, Canada. I'm pretty new into the field but I've been reading things like this forum and trying out machinery over the past few months. I'm looking to buy my first excavator this year to do [a fair bit of] work on the farm.
