    955L Crank No Start

Fair play to Nige for getting to the bottom of it:). We’ve all done things like that (well I have) and there’s no shame in admitting it as it makes us all aware of the obvious sometimes.

I think you’re biggest problem here is age of the machine. That pipe work hasn’t seen the light of day in many years I guess. A build up of oil and dirt has most likely corroded much of that lot. Assume any pipes or fittings you need to remove to get to the culprit may well break or cause...

Old D5 blowing water like sperm whale

I doubt you’ve cracked a head or a block as you sound like you like the old tractor and haven’t abused it. Probably a much simpler explanation like combustion chambers corroded or water pump.

Anyone been a victim of an equipment scam?

Well worded Peter G. Yes,seeing pictures freshly taken do give a sense that things are more genuine rather than pics pulled off the net. I like to get my pick up in the shot sometimes to give credibility to the sale. The D10 isn’t mine though unfortunately :D

How many have run into the loose transmission ?

Cat D9H years ago used to come loose. I don’t think it ever had the crown wheel and pinion set right or cross shaft. They seemed happy to keep putting transmissions back into it though

Forgot to mention the older 2007 model is £38k,so pretty decent price, just absolutely no demand for them over here. Had a few tyre kickers that want them for stock, but zero genuine enquiries
