    Bobcat 442 overheating

I have an 05 442 with 1800, new owner also. I'm experiencing the same issue. I added 2- 12" cooling fans, one on the condenser and the other below the muffler on the tailgate vent. They seem to keep it cooler in most situation but it still gets hot when you work it hard. Very productive machine...

    Understanding hydraulics and cylinder drift

So I've got a bobcat 442 with significant boom drift. Haven't had much time to pin point the issue, but if I understand correctly it shouldn't drift because it is putting down-pressure on the piston side and also the holding valve on the cylinder should "hold" the load? The ram seal seems good...

    Bobcat 331 stalling out

Same problem on 337 d. The tank had some debris in it. My tank is a gravity feed so there was no pick up tube. The tank has two divots in the bottom therefore draining it probably wont help. It is a real job to pull the tank so I removed the seat and then the access plate behind it to get to the...

CAT 303 CR - Hard Starting

Check the glow plug relay. Even though the plugs tested well they may not be activating to actually warm the cylinder heads...

How to implement a drug testing program??

Just ask the guy what his deal is. Never hurts to act human around your employees. Problem persist, replace him and maybe consider implementing a policy at that point.

    CAT 287B Cold weather operation!

I like the old fashioned warm up. Hit the glow plugs grit your teeth and fire it off. Then I idle her up a smidgen and run for the truck. Grab a piping hot grease gun from the tail pipe and make my way around the machine. Unplug the ESSENTIAL block heater. Then I warm the seat up with my ass...

Bobcat T200 - Boom / Bucket will not work.

Sounds like dirt dauber nests in that grapple bucket hose... There had to be a lot of dirt somewhere, and that aint good. I would be looking for a new mechanic, the old one just proved to be more expensive than dealership... sorry for your bad luck.

Rough running and stalling out under load.

Unsure about a TK but it sounds like it could be a bad fuel shut-off solenoid. May not be fully closing/opening .

    Cat 277B bucket hydraulic problem

Headlight wiring crossed with door safety switch maybe. I would check behind the inside panel, upper left behind park brake/ left headlight. Do the lights work when they are turned on or does it just cancel bucket hydraulics. Will it drive while the bucket hyd are being interrupted or does it...

Case Drain Location on Bobcat T320

I'm guessing the mechanic would remove the track to get to a outgoing fitting and drain it there ??? I would drain it per manual instructions unless you have experienced a hydraulic failure of some sort and or aiming to remove contaminated oil.

Cat 416c 4x4 not working... any insight, or known problems?

My issue was the wiring to the solenoid. Seems to me you might be having a similar issue with your clutch not fully activating. Best of luck!

    Track Tearing Problem

As with any machine, keeping the surface your working on smooth is key. Don't get sloppy and run over rocks or needlessly spin your tracks and ya should be fine.

    Track Tearing Problem

Its been my experience that things in general are made to hold up, but just that not much more. It used to be, not too long ago at that, things were over engineered , seems like this economy has companies cutting cost anyway they can... not good. Honestly though, 100 hp is a lot but I would'nt...

    Track Tearing Problem

I would politely say that you must be experiencing some very rough terrain and tough circumstances... that's all. I have personally logged 20,000 hrs on skidsteers of all types. I know from experience that your tracks will last and I also know that a couple wrong moves can destroy a tire or...

    Track Tearing Problem

Ripped tracks start as cut tracks. Keep operators away from jagged rocks, culvert ends and so on. In general keep off rough stuff if at all possible, big rocks at high speed break cords and when you do it will surely aid that cut on the side wall in tearing, all you have to do is give it a...

    Cat 259B

257 asv for sure. Owner operator, not up on everything and all models, guess I just assumed Cat hadn't pulled their head out of their a**. I'm sure the steel is a step up... that said alot of what I said still applies... Love the machine its just the upkeep on tracks in general that need be...

    Bobcat Flat Face Couplings

Or just apply pressure to the clamps and watch your hose as they will tense up then back the clamps off till the hose go limp, disconnect and your good to go. Hooking the hoses together may equalize residual pressure but not relieve it... but it will keep your ends clean and your oil clean and...

Needing some help. Bobcat T300 Drive motor leaking

Not a good project to learn on, I believe that motor cost in the neighborhood of 8500$. Let the dealer do the work warranty it and watch it closely for leaks when they are done. This is big money if it fails.
