Hi all, doing a bit of road work with dozer blade, engine started to run a bit rough, parked it up, noticed a diesel leak. Seems to be from the engine side of injector. Have posted a few photos, did have a video but can’t upload hopefully someone has an idea why and how to rectify.
really hoping injector isn’t stuffed
thanks in advance
paul

Do u mean inj PUMP.??
All ur pics are of the pump..
Is it coming from the little hole by the name plate.??
If yes, that’s a “weep hole” telling u the front seals in the pump are getting ready to let go and fill the crankcase up with fuel..

The pump drive is NOT KEYED, therefore, when u pop the gear off the front, u lose your timing..
U have to lock the pump with the bolt on the side of the pump..& u can’t loosen it until the pump is put back on the engine a tightened back up.

Great, thanks very much for your help.
think I will need to try and pull it out myself, as we are having a horror year on the farm. Only getting paid 50% for what it costs to produce our crop.
‘would you have the time to explain better bolt location and best directions for removal.
thanks
paul
