Cat 308 door won’t stay open

I have a 97 cat 308, the sliding door won’t stay open. When I first got it, it was hard to close. Sprayed it with WD-40 Worked great for a while, now won’t stay open. I’ve tried adjusting the door up and down, took it off and lever looks fine not bent or anything. Any ideas? TIA!!

Flush out latch mechanism with brake clean and compressed air, lubricate with dry moly spray lube and see if that helps. I fix 95% of door latching issues on equipment with this method before touching a wrench.
