Crazy truck prices

As long as the trucks are leaving the lots at the price on the sticker, they’ve got no reason to lower the price. Same goes for cars and pickup trucks, when people are willing to finance more than sticker price for a vehicle, the price will only continue to go up. When the financial bubble bursts, you’ll see a price change and a lot of ‘for sale’ signs.

Been watching this truck, up for auction. 2000 model, T800, big cat, heavy spec day cab with a short wheelbase. It ended up being a little more than my price range.

$69,960 final hammer drop price, with the buyer's premium.

About an hours drive from my place. There's a local grain hauler here that has the sister to this truck. You don't see many high hood T800s around

That's probably market rate at the moment. Non-DEF big power in decent shape that is rebuildable.

Who knows truck prices are still stupid IMO.

It was a sharp looking truck, but had some michigan rust, and at that price, there's nicer (no rust) trucks around. I would hate to try to find a hood for it, if you lost a steer.

Turned from acid---34 years old. It's either polish, paint or leave as. Sometimes it's best to leave.

I agree. Many favor that look. Nothing wrong in my eyes as never could justify the time to keep them bright; only functional.

I guess it's one thing if it's a OO and only truck, but if it's just well maintained and a work horse
it just needs to look good/clean.

Yep. Bright and shiny never brought any more $$$ home for me when running trucks. Reliability and integrity did. Part of that was good maintenance practices and keeping trucks not looking like they were going to leave pieces on the road behind.
