Rotting in the trees. It was a Macmillian back spar at one point. Excavator, then roadbuilder, then backspar, then quarry machine, then demo machine. They never die.

Looks similar to the typical feller/buncher/accumulator head they used down south for some time, working in smaller wood.

UH hitachi with a shear?

Here's another small roadbuilder...turned silvaculture hoe...worn and now enroute to the parts pile and torch...a long way from home.

Great shots of this Madill 3800 'Model A' SP! The colors are just perfect and the subject is a real veteran too. These A-Model 3800's were real beasts.

I agree on the UH series feller-buncher, what a neat find. I have never seen one before, and I wonder how many exist? You may have scored a one-off machine there!

Your pictures are getting really, really good- industrial photography can be very difficult in terms of light and color, but you're just nailing it lately! I sure hope you stick with it, you're really doing a good job.

I remembered falling from our loader when I was a kid, broke my left arm then, now? I'm seeking to educate myself further with these machines since we'll be using it a lot..

That's a lot of extra counterweight for a machine that size. Did they put on more boom and stick to justify that amount of extra weight?

I must see if I can't get a pic of a really badly burnt out Bell Kato harvetser, sounds like the electrics to the head around the cab heated up under some debris, melted and short circuited, the whole machine burnt to nothing.

Otherwise this is really cool thread, keep the pics coming.
