Hello All,
I searched and didn't find out what I was looking for. He gave me 2 different models so I am not sure which it is.I am good at troubleshooting equipment but I am helping a buddy out and he is 12 hrs from me. The machine lost throttle control. they bought a new throttle control dial. The new one looks similar but not exactly the same. There was multiple detents on the old knob that are wore out. The new one has the same number. when plugged it they say the machine will only run ~1500 rpm with not control. They said during troubleshooting the machine only runs while cranking but when you put the key in run it shuts down.

Does anyone know or have any schematics? Should there be constant ~24v during engine run at the shutdown solenoid? They have ~21v during cranking that drops out when the key is in run. Is this fed directly from the key? or does it go thru a controller / oil pressure switch?

As far as troubleshooting the throttle control, is the controller a pwm output signal to a stepper motor on the pump? This machine is out in the bush and cold (Michigan UP). I was told the manual throttle cable has been froze up for yrs.

looking for any input you guys can provide.

It does have a cummins engine

Good day
I guess you have a Cummins engine with a stepping motor that controls the engine speed, what is important that the linkage should be completely free of play. You have a feedback sensor you can read on the display providing it works 0>5 volts.
Kind regards
