]RobVG, I had the bucket floor formed with a 1000 TON press brake. That one was 1/2"x42"x48" Hardox 400 and sold it for $650.
The lip was 1 3/4" Hardox 400. The sides were 450 only because I had a drop of 1/2" hanging around. The corner shanks I cut in so the sides were not doing the cutting. Here is the only other pic I have, Thanks for your interest TOM V

No Rob I cut out where the steel was cracked and pulled the ear in with a 100 ton center hole ram.

Tom V,very nice setup you have. Was wondering what the advantage of the dual shield wire is for doing the heavy bucket work. I've done some bucket work over the years and always used 7018 with a sa400. Using the wire interests me, looks like you have a good handle on it. Great pics, hope you have more.

Good looking work TomV. The truck isn't bad either. Not many people run tandem serivce trucks, but i bet you got that thing packed full of goodies.

Tom, that is some great work! I love your truck too! I run a small side buisness doing the same thing you do...except im working out of an old chevy 2500 with a mid 70's Hobart welder. Total investment of $700 for the truck and welder haha:D I really hope i can step up to a setup like yours someday.

Where are you located Connecticut?

Wire vs stick

Got to love the wire-once you have a good setup for the dual shield there is no comparison. Esab also makes a very good SS wire, Shieldbright-like the Dualshield it runs as good vertical or overhead as it does flat.
Tom, that is a nice rig you have.

Thanks cps, I like the york just fine, I have had that machine since 1999 and it has been pretty much trouble free. My 1st choice was a climax but it wasn't in my budget at the time, but the york is plenty powerful. What machine are you replacing.
