There used to be some shore based Derricks loading log barges up in the Charlottes. Is that grapple from one of them?

BCFP Renfrew Div. #95 Washington TL15 Trak Loader The #95 TL15 was purchased in the early 1950's . It was built to load with "Tongs" and was capable of short yarding . Sometime around 1970 it was repurposed to be capable of "Grapple Yarding" and some major changes were made to it . The #319 Washington TL 15 was purchased in the mid 1960's , it was used for short yarding and loaded using "tongs" though it was capable of loading with "Grapples". In the late 1960's the "Goose Neck Boom" was shortened a couple of feet and equiped with a wooden "Snorkel" and used for loading with a "Grapple" . In the early 1970's the #319 TL 15 was replaced with a 7220 American set up with a long "Snorkel" for Cherry Picking the road right of way and getting cheap logs off the Yarder Settings . The #319 Tl 15 was put back yarding small corners and settings . eventually the "Goose Neck Boom" was replaced by a straight yarding boom . I always wondered why the #319 was not set up for Grapple Yarding and the #95 was not set up as a Log Loader using Grapples . The #93 Washington TL 15 was a BCFP Pitt Lake machine that ended up at Renfrew Div. (by number it was older than the #95 ) It was set up for loading with a Grapple . It had Main and Opening line brakes on the floor with a knee throttle . It was a nice loader to run . The #319 had a left foot throttle on the floor with Haulback and Mainline brake side by side controlled by the right foot . I always found it awkwscan272.jpg scan273.jpg ard to cover the haulback and mainline brake with one foot .
