2020 gehl rt165 standard flow 1400 hours with “weight loss”. This thing is giving me fits. In normal operation the coolant temp gauge will slowly creep up to 220 degrees and higher if keep operating it. When it’s first started it will cool its self down based on the temperature gauge 3-4 times before the temp gets above 170 and starts creeping up. It will only come down if you run the heat on high or let it idle for over an hour and even then it’s not much.

So far I have serviced and changed all fluids and filters, new thermostat, boiled out radiator insides and out, new coolant temp sensor, New foam around fan shroud and door that butts to radiator, checked fan shroud tighteness, checked and adjusted fan belt, I’ve even tried using the “water wetter” stuff. If you read a temp gun on the back it will show 40-50 degree difference between the top/bottom to the center of the radiator. It is water and hydraulic cooled on the same radiator.

I am at a loss on what to do. Could it just be the radiator is bad? Electrical issue? Etc

Thank you for your help and time reading this

Are your highest temp gun readings close to the gauge reading?

Sounds like you have the cooling package shipshape, have you checked for a headgasket issue? Bubbles or pressure in radiator? Use/ push any coolant?
